Looking for a way to mount a pedal box safely to the floor boards. The place I got the pedal box does sell weld in “top hat” inserts, but they’re expensive, and they’re in England. Anybody ever seen similar for sale anywhere else? Any other suggestions? Can I just weld a regular nut to a plate and weld the plate to the floor?
Thanks for your suggestions!
This is what the pedal company sells:

Welding a nut to a plate should work. How about welding a plate to the floor to reinforce it then use rivnuts?

Show me what I missed searching their catalog!
I looked there and Jegs, etc. before asking.

I was hesitant to use rivnuts as they seem to be recommended for light loads only. Am I incorrect? I’ve never used them.
Yeah you don't need anything too special, your plate with nut welded to the floor is plenty enough. On most production cars the pedal assemblies are simply bolted to the firewall, usually either a nut or bolt is permanently attached to the firewall for the assemblies to attach to.

I wish I was better at this stuff. Go to Wilwood scroll down to pedal assembly and then Down to floor mount.
I hope that answers your question. I’ll check back.

I’m sorry I just am no good at posting anything. I try and try and so far have failed. Pictures link or anything.
Rereading your post are you trying to figure out how to mount a peddle set you’ve bought elsewhere or are you looking for a pedal set to mount?
In either case make sure wherever you mount it will withstand the maximum force you can jam on, or anyone can jam on in an accident. Don’t forget your adrenaline will be pumping and you’ll likely be much stronger than you think.
Most race cars make the pedal mount part of the rollcage because that’s where the chassis strength is. If it’s a street car the engineers already did that for you unless you are going from a hanging pedal assembly to a floor mount.

I couldn't find anything on Wilwood's site either. He's not talking about the actual pedal assembly. He's looking for how to mount one.
Honestly, I'd expect this to be left up to the individual car builder. Too much liability in an installation they have no control over.
In reply to Ian F : Thank you. You are absolutely correct. That is a matter for the builder or a engineer to determine. Not a matter of how to or where to buy.
