Right, but they are not supposed to be used below freezing temperatures. Or stored on the cars weight below freezing. Or i would have the bfg on order already.

I had Hankook Ventus V2 in 205/50/15 on my Miata last winter. I bought them because they were literally the cheapest all seasons on TireRack, but I liked them quite a bit. Reasonable grip, predictable at the limit, good in cold and rain. I wouldn't hesitate to autocross them.

I had the Comp 2 A/S on the Mustang in cold wet nasty mess weather and didn't hate them. I don't think they come in the sizes being discussed here though.
I have been extremely happy with my Goodrich Comp2 A/S. in the past I've never been a fan of all season tires and always had dedicated seasonal sets, but I've been more than pleased with this tire and have it on both my daily driver GTI and my weekend driver Porsche. Highly recommend. Frankly they feel like summer tires during the summer, they are awesome in the rain, And they do about as well as any other all season in snow.
Any thoughts about the Sport Comp 2 A/S? Friend of mine has them on his STI and had them on an NA. He was super happy in wet and cold conditions.
