so, im M TPI based EFI setup for m y small block mopar. using all GM parts, except for a holley throttle body, lean burn dist converted to computer controlled HEI style, and magnum fuel rails. im planning on running LS1 injectors, and a stock LS1 fuel pressure reulator/filter combo from a c5 ZO6 vette. rail pressure will be 59PSI.

the car its going into was never EFI, and never offered EFI. running 5/16 feed line, 5/16 pickup in the tank, and 3/8 return from the rgulator. im planning on running a frame rail mounted pump, as i dont have the ability or funds for a custom in tank setup, unless theres a simple way to do it that i cant think of. so im plnning on rokcing a frame mounted pump.

the car puts 390 to the rear wheels at 6k. with no poer adders of any sort. so i need enough pump to feed it at full throttle, being beaten hard like it should.

so, what say y'all for an inexpensive pump that will fill my needs?

I think the issue here is going to be your feed line.

IF 43GPH is enough, the TrickFlow unit seems to be going for $100 or less on Summit.

i was figuring that at the fuel pressure ill be running,, it would be fine. the 5/16 line is what it made the numbers on with a mechanical ppump

Used A-1000 or a Weldon 2015. If the pump isn't intank, the feed better be from the bottom of the tank. No pump likes trying to suck fuel through a straw uphill.

EDIT- you will want to have a -10 feed MINIMUM to the pump from the tank, -8 pump to engine, and -6 return.

I'm not saying that the line is an issue at those power levels, i'm just saying that it could potentially complicate or restrict your pump choices depending on how you want to set it up.

Not a lot of pumps out there with 5/16" inlet/outlets.

E2000 pump used in loads of Fords should do the trick there is a higher volume pump same size some of the rock crawler guy use but i forget the part number. google E2000 pump rock crawler you find it.

I was looking for a cheap external fuel pump for my 280Z challenge car earlier this year and came up with these:

Part numbers are for Airtex pumps which can normally be found at Advance Autoparts, Autozone, or Rockauto.

E8248 265LHP / 70 GPH 3/8 hose
E8228 144 LHP / 38 GPH 5/16 hose
E8445 133LPH / 35 GPH 5/16 hose
E2182 190 LPH / 50 GPH 1/2" inlet and 5/16 (I went with this one since my tank outlet is ½” and I found it for $40 at rockauto)

If I was not trying to save a few bucks I'd spend the extra $$ for the Walbro GSL392

Junkyard. Volvo Bosch pump and filter from any 200-700 built after 1985. Get the wire connectors and fuel line fittings too.
