Hi, guys.

I always thought the center net was supposed to be mounted very high up so that it could keep your head and shoulders in place. But the article on the safety equipment on IMSA Cayman in the latest issue of GRM makes me reconsider. It looks like the center net is mounted much lower: below even the head restraint.

Here's how the net is mounted in my 190E racecar:

I've been thinking mine is mounted too low and have been considering moving the front mount even higher (like up at the top of the dash). But looking at the IMSA Cayman makes me reconsider.

Also, what's with the dual nets?? I've already got a window net. Isn't that enough? Is the second net something I should be doing?

They are for your arms mostly, not your head or body.

Make sure your have a good halo seat and a HANS of some sort for your head and body and your arms will be helped by the nets.

I thought arm restraints were for arms and center net was for head/shoulders no?
