In this picture of my friend's mom's beetle, we're trying to identify the car in the background. Can somebody shed some light on what make/model it might be?
Picture was taken October 1968.
Thanks!

That strikes me as a Bentley. Off to the Googles...
I've been looking. Looks around 1962-1964 Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury. The emblem on the pillar is what I'm looking for.
It really looks like a 1960's Bentley T series to me. Maybe the emblem was a trim option?
It may be an 85 Toyota Crown although I never could find a good enough picture to be sure. It has a belt line like the picture and an emblem in the right location.
It's a '61 Ford Galaxie Town Sedan.

Not unless it's capable of time travel.
How far behind the Iron Curtain was she when that photo was taken?

The belt line goes up at the rear door on the original car. It's not that one...
I think that's just a reflection. The B pillars are reflected in the back door too.

Here's the other side of the same car, if it helps.

The trim on the galaxies goes through the door handles, it doesn't on the original
Yes the trim doesn't match up exactly but the rest is very close. Could be a different year of Galaxy. The roof line on the first picture looks very formal like an MB.
It definitely has an Eastern European look to it.

I give. Tried a few minutes of searching, but didn't get it.
It might be a 60 Galaxie. Here's an 50/50 overlay:
If that's not a 60 or 61 Galaxie, I give up. We are looking at a blurry picture of an old b&w picture, so that's my best guess. The pillar emblem is absolutely a Galaxie part.
