I actually contacted someone I know that works for them. He said the car is not slated for the USA market.

Because this is the other side:

For a couple weeks anyway. Still worth it?

I can live with that.
I want a 6-speed manual in the Kia Optima Turbo. I'd get it with the flappy paddles, but a manual would be awesomerer.
Acceleration to 62mph is achieved in 8.0 seconds and top speed is 136mph.
W. T. F.
I like the look of the first image up there, but good lord that's slow (for a turbo hot-hatch). Your Forte would leave that thing in the dust I would imagine. How heavy is this thing?

Current US version of that engine (201hp) in the Forte SX is a 7.3 0-60 stock (previous gen NA car is 0-60 8.3 stock). But then again, mild mods pull 30-40hp at the front wheels so those numbers start to go down rather quick. turbo and all. The 2 door would be about where my Forte is in the 2700-2800lb range.

It will be better than my Spectra5. Which is better than a Rondo IMHO.

Buy one and let's run 'em. I'll smoke that E36 M3.

So Kia isn't all that great at producing efficient engines straight from the factory, huh? You know, not like the Honda K with 120hp/liter NA.
