Cargo ship full of Porsches and VWs on fire and drifting in the Atlantic.
The VWs can become reefs, and besides fire smoke or vape smoke...what's the difference? That would have been the VWs' fates anyhow. Someone's gotta save the Porsches
There is going to be quite a few people that ordered a car for spring that are going to be disappointed.
Matt Farah's Spyder was on that. I work at DeMan Motorsport, and it was supposed to go straight from delivery at dealer to us to get a 4.5L built. Oh well.
I'm on my way. Think my 16' Starcraft can haul a Cayman in it? Naah, I'll throw the Cayman on top of a unicorn floatie and tow it back. 9.9hp is enough for open waters right?
I have a buddy who's had a 911 on order for over a year. If it had shown up at the port 2 days earlier it would have been on that ship.
On the other hand, prices for used Porsches and VWs should get a bump.
When life gives you lemons...

Yes. 9 "aging" buyers of the 911 they had dreamed of for decades had heart attacks upon hearing the news of the fire....
That's not a fire. That's several hundred Check Engine Lights simultaneously illuminating in unison.
Sad to see , and glad no one got hurt ,
At one time VW would let you ship your Used VW to the USA on their ships , they had their own ships at the time ,
tourist delivery was also possible so you could tour Europe in your USA spec VW and ship it back home.
No idea if this is still possible with used vws.....

That's pretty rad to know one of our own works at DeMan. Keep up the awesome work!

since there's obviously no use for that engine now, i'll give you 2x scrap price for it. i think that's a very generous offer.
i'll let myself out now.
