Last night, I went and picked up a car I bought on Ebay. The car is a simple and pedestrian automobile, but, exactly what I was looking for. The seller was a friend of a friend. I did all the right moves, ha.
1) Never buy a car site, unseen, only through pictures; done.
2) Never take deliver in the dark; done
3) Never take an unknown car w/ 150k miles on a 3 hour ride, in the dark, in the rain, in the fog, after midnight, as your shakedown and way of getting it home.
Of course, most of you here have done the same thing. People in the "regular world" would think we are crazy

All worked out well and the car is what I expected and hoped it would be.
As I mentioned, the seller was a friend of a friend. Though I had never met him, I was counting on it to work.

So...while there, the seller gave us a tour of his barn behind the house. Needless to say, I kept telling the seller that, "you need to get out to GRM", "you should to be on GRM", "have you heard of GRM?", etc.
We talked about car addiction.
We talked about project creep.
Sentences were used like, "I love that wagon almost more than anything in this garage." "My fiance does not like it...but I think I could sleep in it."

I took one picture in his barn. I think y'all might find something there you like.
I am going to tack on a few links to some threads here that he may like and then email a link to this specific posting to him.
I hope he will come in here later so if you have some questions about that pic, ask away and maybe he will answer.

Also not present in the picture, RX7 FD w/ LS1 project and TSX 6 speed daily driver.

I approve of this post and his barn/barn contents. TSX is a great DD and I love LSX swapped FDs.

How big is the yard to need a mower like THAT!?!?!?

What is that a '58 Ford Ranch wagon on the lift and a 49-52-ish Ford coupe on the rotisserie?

I recently did some work to one of those Rambler wagons and yes, it was a very cool car. But, it's amazing how cramped the front seat is!!
