How much video can you get on a 32gb card at 720p?
I think I get 5-6 hours of 720p60 from 32gb with a cheapo Kodak recorder. That one cost me $110 3 years ago, so this one looks like a pretty good deal if the build quality is decent.
Looking at the link further, the viewing angle is pretty narrow at 70 degrees.
I think the GoPro I use is like 170 degrees. Maybe less at full resolution.
On that Polaroid link, there are other options for slightly more money. The XS10 is $75 and has a 120 degree field of view.
I mounted the GoPro to the cage just behind the driver seat. At that distance you get the full windshield some view out of each side window plus a lot of the cockpit too. I prefer to see a wider field of view to be able to see cars beside you - you don't get a great sense of the racing going on if you can only see through the front windshield.
May not be a big deal if you aren't capturing W2W action.
