This was posted by our local U-Pull yard today. Just curious whether anyone in the Minnesota racing community knows anything about it. Seems like a car that could've spent some time at Brainerd in its day.

May be an image of car and outdoors

A real quick DDG search of Auto Edge Porsche brings up this

Might be able to get some info from them.

That doesn't really scream Race Car to me.  Looks more like a street car with numbers on it.  Maybe a Chump Car?

There are lots of cars driving around with numbers on them. Even in my local PCA, some of the guys have big numbers on their cars for their autocross class. They think it's race car (not that autocrossing isn't a legit kind of racing, but big numbers like that?)! Last night my wife and I passed a Civic with huge numbers and lots of sponsor style graphics, but I noticed that it was bone stock, with all season tires. The car seat in the back seat was also a tip-off that it was poser.

So the definition of "race car" is a squishy thing...

If you think it may be a race car, look at the interior. Does it have a roll bar or cage? What about the suspension? Stock parts? That should tell you if it's a "race car".

In reply to RacerBoy75 :

I drove my original Challenge Miata past a daycare with it's numbers still on it.  The kids all yelled "Look at the race car!"   That makes it a race car.
