Ok, so I'm an avid autocrosser and really enjoy watching other people's racing vids. It's cool to watch everyones different styles and techniques, not to mention the huge variety of cars. Here are a few examples of my exploits:

I'll upload mine as soon as someone tells me how to transfer tape to digital. I really need to buy a GoPro.

I love my GoPro, the kids got me the Hero for Father's Day.
Great vids so far guys!
And yes, GoPros are the shizzz.
heres my latest race from this past weekend. It was on a brand new lot that we've never been on. It was a bit sandy and keeping the tail in check was a challenge. The run was not very pretty, but it got me 1st in STR ( which is huge in my region with 1 former national champ and 3 other national tour winners/podiums) and top spot in PAX.

yes, that's 9 shifts in one run
And this isn't an actual race, but just as good, a run through deals gap

I used to use tape, but the cameras had a high failure rate due to vibration. Too many moving parts. Still, my earlier videos came from tape, including all of the 2008 Targa. Of course, #1 on the "next time" list was GET A BETTER CAMERA! In 2011, we ended up using three different in-car cameras after a wiring fault toasted the main one. A Kodak, a little Canon point-and-shoot still camera and some monstrous SLR that took great footage but would only shoot 15 minutes at a time.
GoPros are still a bit of a hassle for editing. Easiest ever for transferring footage was my Flip. It's also the only camera I've ever owned that has never let me down - GoPros fall off (twice now) and I've had at least one with a bad mic, the Kodak got blitzed as mentioned above and the poor Canon DV tape camera simply fell apart. An inexpensive Polaroid HD video camera should not be mentioned, it simply couldn't handle in-car noise.
Flip footage at High Plains Raceway - about 2010 or so. I glued a 0.5 wide angle adapter to the lens, gave great in-car. The only reason I don't use it now is because I need a line in.

GoPro on the roof - the video game angle. I wish I had the in-car from this one, it's a bit nuts.

One more for you - in-car, aimed at the driver and navigator. You can see us catch air (unexpectedly) at 1:44 and Janel whacked her elbow hard at 2:07. Poor girl, she doesn't really like the tight town stages, especially with rough roads.

Here's the same stage, as seen from our viewpoint and with the audio.

I used a flip for a couple years also. It's a great (cheap) option to the gopro.

Eh, all mine are on VHS, and I don't have the dough to digitize it yet. Got one from 2009 showing why old circuit racers shouldn't assume autocross is candy you can steal, tho.
