So my buddy is pulling back from Hallet and is in the middle of Kansa heading back to Denver.
His 2004 Dodge ram is hitting about 23psi and then it feels like the wastegate is just bleeding all of the boost off and the truck losses all power.
Friday he had a huge head wind and the truck saw 30psi with no problems at all.
Right now he is just keeping the boost under 20 and running 60-65 MPH.
The edge programmer is showing good EGTs and no engine light on.
any ideas.
I haven't seen anything like this on my '04 CTD (yet), but have on a Turbo 2.2 Dodge.
Are all the clamps in place on the pressure side? Has a hose split or fitting cracked loosening things up? Other than the Edge tuner, has anything else been touched?
Just the tuner.
He only did a quick leak check at the last fuel stop. Just talked to him and the truck is okay as long as he keeps the boost down so we should be able to look at it when he gets it home.
I have not had this problem with my 2003 but its stock with no programmer.
