Just like the title says. It has a hardtop and some good snows. I bought a set of 15" MX3 GS alloys (5 spoke) for $200, they had Dunlops on them which looked good but were actually 9 years old! So I need new tires, probably going to stick with 15s and get Kumho Ecsta SPTs. Future mods include a rollbar, suspension (if anyone has good used shocks/springs, holla) and fixing the rust thats starting to bubble up.

Congratulations on your purchase! I'm sure you'll enjoy many, many hours of smiles in your new toy. I'm sure you've already visited Flyin' Miata -- if not, why not?

I didn't think they made a brg in 1997. Is it possibly marina green? Or a Canadian model?

It could also be a M-Edition, we have one of those, it is a green but if you look at it in the sun there is a bit of blue flake and a bunch of copper flake in it.

Looks like Montego Blue to me. I don't think BRG was available in 96, even in Canada. I could be wrong, though. (The miata.net photo gallery only lists BRG for 91 and 94 (Canada only in 94.) In any case, welcome to the insanity.

Hey guys,

That's a crappy cell phone pic I took at sunset. It is most definetely BRG, and they were made in Canada in 1997. Our equipment is never the same as yours. For reference:

I have the Leather Package model with came with fun stuff like ABS, tan leather and a Torsen diff.

Ah, its odd that Miata.net is remiss in one of their listings. I stand corrected. HU is in my top 3 favorite Miata colors.

Yeah, BRG came back from 1994-97 in Canada. If you bought one with a tan interior like this one, you also got a tan top - unlike the original 1991 LE.

Canada never got the M editions, though. So Merlot never made it across the border :) It's the only colour that didn't - at least officially. Despite the existence in the brochure, I've never seen a Canadian Laguna Blue.

Congratulations!

I thought they had Canadian 1.8 BRGs... I was right!

I have a set of Konis and Eibach springs that would be useful to you. I'm in ON.
