Long story short, I keep throwing OBD vacuum leak codes. Tried buying OEM gas cap - no help. Next thing is to replaced the baked vacuum hoses.

What brands and vendors should I be looking at for 8mm/5/16 quality stuff?

I've used silicone vacuum hoses from Hi-Performance Store on two of my cars (FC RX-7, Alfa 164) and I haven't had a problem with them. Their kits are comprehensive, with hose lengths precut for the most part, and they supply a cigar cutter for the stuff that isn't. You can also get hose by the foot, of course, and in all sorts of pretty colors.

Here's a second plug for Hi-Performance Store. I bought their E30 kit and it was great. Then it turned out I had a weird brake booster setup and I needed extra hose, which they happily sent along for no charge.

The owner also runs an injector cleaning service that I used once last year and was really impressed with.

I've been using Wurth hoses for years. Great stuff, but I know Wurth can be tough to get a hold of.

OEM BMW silicone hose is good too. I'm sure it aint cheap though.
