Question on 92-95 Civics

Is the coupe and the hatch the same body from the B-pillars forward.

I'm pretty sure it is but just wanted to check for sure. Want to know if I can use one as a parts car for the other.

I want to say... yes? From past memory, I've swapped all sorts of stuff up there. The only things that don't carry do appear in my minds eye... to be rear interior bits. Seats/dash/hvac/mechanicals all end up the same. Door panels also I think?

Looking at the door parts it looks like they are the same.

I used to own a '92 CX, now own a '97 DX, from the windshield forward, all the models are pretty much the same. The interiors? Well, my CX was the only model and last year of Civic to "feature" a full vinyl interior. Yes, even the seats were covered in vinyl. Having trolled the local junkyards on occasion looking for parts for these cars, and looking at the various years/models, not all interior "bits" are the same. They will fit, but take the door panels, for instance. Hatch and 2 door notch use the same LOOKING door panel, but there were sometimes variations. I think the rear seats (and obviously, the fronts) will interchange, but there are variations on the rear-side interior panels. Nothing major, just get all parts from the same model when possible.

Since the cars would be for a challenge car build I don't really need any of the interior. Mostly wanted to make sure the door sheet metal is the same.
