Spotted this on a (hilly 71-mile)(ugh) bike ride today.

Mopar experts can confirm, but it looks like a 70-72 Dodge Polara wagon to me (didn't google).

These cars are pretty much extinct in this area (RI) and this one is obviously returning to the Earth. That said, it had to have been running within the last 8-10 years. I didn't think to look at the registration sticker, but the plate style indicates that timeframe.

This was on Rt 14 in RI, close to the CT border, in the middle of nowhere.

Yep that's a '72. Looks like somebody popped the hood at one point. Probably looking to see if it's a big block or not.

Good eye--I didn't even think of that. I'll bet there's a 440 under the hood of that beast.

Shame it's gonna rot to nothing. Dude had 2 other wagons (one was an 80's Caprice, can't remember the other) in tent-garages on the front of his lot to the left of this car. I didn't want to get shot snooping around, so I just shot this one pic and GTFO.

More likely a 383...

Most likely 383 or 318. That's what the majority had unless special ordered with something else.

I guess a 383 would be more interesting than a 318. They were starting to get choked-off by '72, right?
