I too have been tying to trace a rattle to no avail.   It seems to be more prevalent when the right front wheel hits bumpy pavement.   I've checked the suspension. Nothing found there.   I come to realize that the noise is not metallic but seems more like plastic and now seems to have migrated to the doo an seat area.  I've tried different ways to locate it.  Nope.   I' m thinking now it may be the HVAC box stuff.

Now I have come to the point that I am going to take it to the dealer.  It is still under the bumper/bumper warranty.  See how that works.

Bumper to bumper? Let those idiots fix it. You'll still have another 12/12 after the repair if they fix it

Warranties are awesome when you have them. Hopefully they take it seriously.

I'm predicting a service department response along the lines of:  "Was unable to replicate customer complaint."

My Mazda2 had an occasional rattle that was driving my nuts.  Sounded like something rattling in the dash or at the strut top.  Eventually figured out that having the visor fully forward would cause a rattle that resonated down the windshield.

Rattles and squeaks are annoying, especially in new cars. Working as a flat rate mechanic, time is money. Rattles and squeaks under warranty do not pay well. Time spent locating loose crap in the glove box, center console and trunk only pay a couple of tics (tenths of an hour).
