Seats were glorious.
Engine and transmission were as well.
The Ford Sync system has got to be the easiest system to use with a smart phone.
I'm not buying it because putting a rear facing kid seat behind the front passenger seat makes my moderately sized wife sit with her chin on her knees.
Otherwise this car would be on the short list of possible purchases.

Never fear, the kids only can use a rear-facing seat for so long. Once they are facing forward you are all good.
was chasing down Mustangs at Hallett. My friend (a hired gun race driver) was in another bone stock Focus ST embarrassing some of the Shelby and Boss 302 Mustangs on the track.
Honest Question: do you think that the ST is that competitive, or is it because a lot of the guys who can afford the top spec Mustang models are cautious with them on track?

Anybody else think that the MPG isn't that great? Take out the track days and best case scenario we're at 28. Now that is not bad, but I would hope that by 2013 even the hot model of an economy car would be cresting 30.
^ It has 250 hp and weighs 3250 lbs. In that context, 28 mpg isn't bad at all.

I think it is competitive. My friend runs his on trackdays occasionally when his turbocharged SVT is down. Lap times are very close and either car can run with even well driven larger displacement cars. The only weak spot that we have found is the brakes. The stock pads are not up to track use and so far no one seems to be making high performance pads yet (pads are a little different from other Focuses).

Hallett is so tight that big HP cars don't have quite the advantage they would at other tracks.
My uncle's '03 Cobra, well-driven, with 500whp and 285 R-comps would just hit 105mph down the front straight.
