I'm flying into Orlando and will be renting a car to go to the 24 hour race. I have a question for folks who are familiar with the Orlando airport. Are there any rental outlets there that are in the airport? It seems the trend at other airports is to make you take a shuttle in order to get to the rental places - I'd prefer to not have to do that.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

I travel to Orlando for work 6 - 8 times a year and my preference is to rent from National in the airport. There are a couple of rental companies in the airport (National, Alamo) but I am a member of National Emerald Club so I can just walk to the Emerald line and pick any car I want and drive off. Outside the airport you can get Hertz, Dollar, Enterprise but if you can, avoid renting from Enterprise, the last time I rented from Enterprise outside of the Orlando airport it took about 45 minutes to get the car. Hertz is not too bad but do not buy gas from the gas station in front of Hertz near Orlando airport, that gas station is a racket, they regularly charge $1 - $1.5 over market price. I am sure people from Orlando know which gas station I am talking about. Have fun.

Thanks - I think I still have 'status' at National back when I used to travel a lot. I'll likely go with them.
