So finally got the jetta brake problems solved. It runs like a champ but it has a idle problem. When i start it up it will idle high but when i rev it up it idles down and up. i have a low iddle issue and a high iddle issue. when i say low iddle issue i mean it kinds stumbles beween low and medium low. think i will add a video up soon.

Check for air leaks...look for torn, missing hoses, leaks around injector cups, etc...

^^^Most likely culprit(s)^^^^^

Also make sure timing is correct, coolant temp sender is working properly, throttel/idle switch is set correctly.

i ruled out any air leak problem. I haven't checked the timing yet mostly because i have never set the timing on a vw. how the heck do you set the timing on a 1991 jetta 2.0 gli? And what do you mean by having the throttle switch set correctly?
