I'll check that manual blazer as its like 5mins from me. But man the 80s ones looks so much better to me than the plastic out 90s one.

Wow - that LT1 Blazer. Anyone can drop an SBC in a car, but to put in an aluminum head LT1 with working FI, A/C, cruise, etc. seems like really nice work. IMO, that price is more than fair.
Spoke to the owner of the 91 S10 w/ LT 1. He has a bunch of cars and took this one in on a trade. Currently got some medical bills so selling down collection.
I guess the owner who traded it wanted to build out a really nice S10. The interior was re-done with all leather, he said he thinks the paint is original but might have been touched up here and there because the white paint on the blazers tended to peel, engine work was all done by a local shop as it has their emblem on a plaque in the engine bay. He said there is zero rust. He mentioned it was a 4 x 4 and that they are easier to do a v8 swap on because it has more engine bay room, not sure if this is true?
It also has an upgraded transmission, Turbo 400.
getting a VIN # on it and doing a history check, just want to see if it was crashed.
Will something with this much custom work w/ the engine swap be a maintenance nightmare? I'm a shadetree mechanic, will need to have shops work on this thing / maintenance it.
What you guys think? I'm going to go check it out soon and put some money down. Not much of a mechanic, so I wont be able to spot anything.
If you want, I can probably go with you. I've been around S10 v8 swaps a lot, and can help you assess it prior to purchase.

That would be super helpful. It's in Marion South carolina, i'll be heading from raleigh. looks like a 2 hour drive south.
Do you guys think that LT1 will be pretty reliable as a daily driver? Just wana make sure I'm not getting in over my head.
I like the white. I think it will be reliable. It is generally low tech. If there are things you can not figure, most independent mechanics should be willing to work on it given its commonality of parts.
You'll also have significant online support.
It really depends upon how well the swap was done the only inherent problem and LT one has is the optispark.
I'll let coldsnap fill yall in, but it was pretty well done. Few little things, and I hated the way the trans felt. I could find no reason to say run. Lt1 is a great truck engine, and I really miss having an s10.
Thanks a ton again. If a Gmr says there's no reason to run away, then I think we found something decent!
Going to enjoy the hell outta this. Just gotta figure out what's going on with the trans
Now to replace the worn cheap seal I blew wringing it out on the way home.
