it is available for lease as well...could make a worthwhile rallycross location, esp. if 2 events a month were run as the lease would be monthly

I am old enough to have driven on that track in the late 60's. So here are some observations:

  1. The land is worth that much if you are talking about commercial development, especially in that area.

  2. As captdownshift stated, using is for any kind of motor sports is probably a "no go". You might get away with a small kart track but I am not sure you could get the zoning for that.

  3. IIRC, some years ago some of the parcel was designated as a "wetland". That may cause problems for commercial development.

  4. I hope Summit Point doesn't build an "exact" replica. The transition from the road course to the oval and back was a bit hairy. The oval was ~30 degree banking in that area.

Nope, theres plenty of "rural" land around that, wooded or otherwise. I don't see how or why they are asking this much.
