Perhaps. In my experience in the industry (which has been a few years but involved race tires, R-compound tires, and street tires), 200 would likely be an outlier for the R7. You may be able to generate test data to defend that rating, but it would definitely be at the "edge of the envelope." What I do appreciate is that sanctioning bodies are starting to wise up to the games a bit more. I think its fine to set a 200tw min for a street-type category and the police both this both through ratings and through direct observation of each given tire. Things like the Vitour simply don't fit the intent of the rules. SCCA and Optima were correct in banning it in my opinion. I even think that the A052 is really, really close to that borderline, but opinions vary ...
