SCCA SOLO classes 2016 - the Abarth gets moved AGAIN.

I just downloaded the new SOLO rules that came out yesterday and over lunch I looked at car classes. 3rd year I've had the car, 3rd berkeleying class it's listed in.

First it was STC, then last year I went to sign up for an event and STC wasn't listed. I found it it was merged into others and now I was in STS. Time to buy two more "S"'s.

Now I'm put into STX. Time to buy two "X"'s. And the other cars listed in the class seem a bit higher mettle than my 160HP turbo gymshoe. Hm, guess I culd run in DSP against myself...maybe one other guy.

STX would at least allow you to install one of those nifty proper differentials though wouldn't it?

On that note, is it still in G-Street?

yes still in g-street but the 12/13 abarth can run in dsp as well

It is still in GS, but there is a proposal for feedback to move it to HS as of 1/1/2017 (just posted in this month's Fastrack)

The move to STX is a good thing as yes, it allows an LSD, more wheel and tire width (not that it needs it), and STX isn't really any faster than STS at a national level. Nationally prepped STS cars are absurdly fast for what they are.

Well, that would be fitting to put it back against the fiST, but GS was a good landing zone for both of them. The foST ABSOLUTELY should be in D-Street.

Well while I'm buying two X's I might as well buy two R's for the MR2.

I don't even bother to put on class letters. We don't allow duplicate numbers.

I can't really speak much, the e36 still wears it's DSP livery.
