Imagine getting a call from the restoration shop that your freshly painted and nearly restored BMW 850i had just been trampled by a moose. This happened at Schmiedmann's facility in Sweden.

If this happened in the U.S. and that was my 850i, I'd probably call B.S.

But I feel like moose shenanigans are fairly standard in Sweden, so I'd probably be more like "Again? That's the third time this week. I'm going to need a bag of salted licorice to calm down."

They're anywhere from 25 to 35 years old now.

Hardly a panel undamaged.  That looks like it was probably payback.  My guess is the moose had an unpleasant encounter with a similar, or that same car, and was looking to even the score.

That is what happens when you have too much to drink at the Moose Club. Ba-boom!

This bad MF'er was one of the few cars at SEMA I genuinely liked. It has swallowed everything important from an E60 M5.

I feel like the time has come to celebrate the E31

I'm not knocking these cars by any means. I've always loved them.

But in my mind, they came out about three years ago. I'm pretty sure I just read about them in Autoweek magazine...

A Møøse once bit my sister... No realli! She was Karving her initials on the møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian møvies: "The Høt Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Mølars of Horst Nordfink"...

It was a Volvo Moose. Darn immigrants!

Moose are scary on a variety of levels. My Alaska Ranger uncle has had more problems with them than bears.

I wonder if Norwegian insurance UIs have a dropdown for "moose" or they have to fill it in by hand.

Also, with the amount of damage to the 8 series and the E46 gettting barely scuffed, I second the opinion that this is personal.

I don't really care for that color either, but someone should talk to that moose about letting other peo... animals like what they like.

Tell me about it brother!

my "modern classic" 81 pickup is significantly older than the 50's cars I thought were so cool when I was in high school.

So who pays for that?  I can see it getting all tied up in the blame game if insurance is involved.

Either it was personal or moose aren't smarter than deer. I worry about deer. I spotted this fella about a 10-15min ride from the shop where my Toyobaru is:

The E46 was attacked by llamas that were hastily brought in to replace the moose and at great expense.
