My bus company who was already down from 180+ drivers to 60 found out the elementary schools are getting too many cases of Covid and might be shutting down next week. for certain by the 30th.
The high school is all distance learning. Leaving only the JR high to go. 1/2 of the students attend Mon/Tue and the other half Wed /Thur .
Sports got canceled when the football team ( on their way to a championship ) came down with Covid. ( and yes I drove them to their last game).
Scoccer is over and Hockey probably won't start.

It's stunning to me that it is obvious what people should do to protect themselves and others and yet they won't.

Living in North Central MN, I figured schools would be closed by Thanksgiving. Not everyone is taking precautions. Halloween and now deer hunting will only increase the number of cases.

I am all over this, picked up the super super size pack of tp on Sunday. Big pack of paper towels too.

Forgot antibacterial dish soap, guess not all over it.

Based on the news, it looks like we are headed for a bigger shutdown.

We are still driving.  We are pretty short handed if any of your drivers want to move south.

I didn't notice anything in Frenchyd's post about anyone not protecting themselves or others. Did I miss something?

The northern states tradition of Deer Camp.  Dudes gathered in the dark hours for drinking and lodging even if the are spread out during the daylight hours.

Got it.

My version of deer hunting involves driving 15 minutes from my house and sitting in the woods by myself.

They are sending my son home from college next week and the remainder of the semester will be distance learning with a refund of the last three weeks of dorm and food. This is in Michigan.

Here in Texas we just got a warning letter that there is enough covid floating around the high school that it may cross the limit the county health commission set a while back. That would close the high school for a bit. For what it's worth, contact tracing shows that it's community spread and not school spread, which is nice. I guess.

What about his post had anything to with floundering?

He's absolutely correct and people who think that kids will keep their masks on and wash their hands enough haven't been around kids for more than 5 minutes.

Think about how gross some adults you run into are and realize that many also have children or even grandchildren.

The sooner we take pages from the books of countries who have been more successful, the sooner we all get back to work.

Schools haven't ever opened here since March 16th. . We don't expect any schools here to open till Fall 2021, at the very latest.

Did either of you see anything about that in the original post? I didn't think so. I guess a soap box is hard to pass up. Oh, well the OP prolly doesn't care if y'all change the subject. So not any of my business. I asked a question, and got an answer. Sorry you didn't like it.

That's how it's SUPPOSED to be done. A man hunts alone. Just you and the animal. Make it fair. Don't be a coward. I don't even think we should use guns. Tribal warfare all the way.

My kids go out at Thanksgiving break.  They don't go back until Mid Jan. Or at least that's the plan we got last night.

My wife is gonna cut her hours back at her school to help watch kids.  Last time I did it all myself. I stressed myself out and gained so ouch weight.  Ugh.

Wife and I both work with 4 kids that have been in and out of school between shutdowns since Spring.  It's sad to say they aren't learning the same way with the "click" at home schedule.  Relying on them all to get their work done and for the teachers to grade all the work in a timely manner is not ideal for anyone.  Some assignments show up as missing that aren't and some get graded a 0 just because they haven't been graded yet.  How is one to keep track of their schoolwork this way?  Putting trust in the kids that they really have gotten their work done when you see them gaming is a tough one.

You are all fools if you make light of the deer's capabilities to spread this pandemic. Remember the Herpes expansion in the early 90s? 85% were traced back to deer. Flu in the 1910s? Deer. The oil crisis in the 70's? Deer.

What do you think the masks are for?! So they dont recognize you. The fake news doesnt want to tell you the truth. 03Panther knows what's up.
