Ok, so let's see the two most recent world champions are driving on the same team. The world champion before that has left to go drive WRC. The world champion before that is driving for the team with the most manufacturer championships in F1 history. And, the champion before that has come out of retirement to drive for the current manufacturers' championship team. Oh, and there is a US team in the series too. And there is a new points structure? 2010 is going to be a very interesting year to watch I think. The only downside I can think of is that Bernie is still around.

That and the subject of this thread is fact, not rumor.
Guess I'm the only guy pissed Schumacher is back? Anyone?
I am actually a Schumacher fan but I don't think he should be coming back. It's like huh? What? Must be hard to say good bye because I doubt that he needs the money. Boxers and other athletes do it and un-retire but from past experience it most often doesn't turn out well. Let's hope he isn't making a big mistake. Schumi you should have stayed gone.
I've always been a hugh Schumi fan.. but have also been a Ferrari fan since BRM dropped out... what to do, what to do....
about USGP... Bernie expects at least 2 of the new teams to not make the grid at the start of the season....USGP is one of them
and I also hope he's not making a mistake coming back... really hope he doesn't do anything to "ruin" his legacy

Meh. Retirement won't have made him rusty. He still has the fine honed skill to collide with his opponents.
m
keep in mind he didn't invent the "F1 crash your opponent so you can win the championship" method of driving..
I enjoy F1 racing, but I was raised to root for the underdog in most sports, and for a while there it was hard for me to cheer on someone in near-dominance over the field; it's too easy.
Still, I hope he does provide a boost to many people's interest in the sport, so I wish him good results.
Never been a fan, but have great appreciation for his skills. And, it will be great if he proves that drivers at an "advanced age" can compete with youngsters.
No doubt the kids will be looking to beat him with the same ruthless tactics that Schumacher and Senna made common.
About Schumacher's comeback; I will believe it when he is strapped into the Mercedes when the red lights go out in Sahkir.
About McLaren's chances in 2010; Button and Hamilton will be very similar to Alonso and Hamilton in 2007. So long as McLaren fails to pick a number 1 driver, they will have hurdles to run across.
