Found and purchased a set of 4 14"x6" AR Estrella for $116 out of the yard today. No centercaps, paint is flaking.
Would have gotten 2nd gen neon 15" Y spoke wheels, but those where secured with anti-theft lug nuts... E36 M3
Anyway, recomendations on cleaning them up for cheap?
Found centercaps for $17/each, and what color would look good on a blue/sliver(stripe) car...
aircraft paint remover. A little 400 grit sandpaper and elbow grease. Duplicolor wheel specific primer, paint, clear.
White or gunmetal or bronze.
If it wasn't for the silver skunk stripe, I would paint them gold. A gunmetal would be a nice alternative to silver. Anyway, I have 7 months to get it done.
Talk to a paint shop, the one by me will powdercoat wheels for $80 each.
Match the wheel to the blue stripe?

I'm thinking bronze, and just skip the center caps, and have the center area painted to match. Maybe try to find plugs for the 2nd bolt patern, and the center hole.
