Too bad you gotta sell, new from 78 with three owners in the same family sure sounds like a keeper. Money is probably right, just heard too many people talk longingly for grandpas truck.

Yeah and actually I did at first. My mom has been paying for storage annually for the truck for probably 15 years. I'd come up and check things over, drive it do maintenance, tell my mom what it needed professionally done(to her credit she always listened) had that done, took it for inspection every two years for them and just made sure it was working right and ran well. It's been a burden on her and a bit of a burden on me to be honest. I don't have anywhere to store it. I offered it to my cousin (same grandparents) and he would kind of like to have it but doesn't have a place to store it either so doesn't really want it for that reason. The storage place it's in now got new owners and they are hiking the rates and my mom wants it gone. I think easy button would be consignment shop which will get it on their property till its sold. If it was a high mileage truck or a rust bucket I'd just drive it and park it outside but I feel like it just needs to move on to someone that can keep it in great shape.
After requesting a bunch of info about the truck including photos which I emailed to them and contacted them a week later, they never received them , which ok but then didn't recall speaking to me about it either. Maybe I called him after his 3 martini lunch but I'm out on that avenue. New plan. I'm heading up father's day to spend with mom and will return with the truck to my house. Then I'll put it on marketplace and also take it to cars and coffee in July with for sale signs. Should be fun.
