I was buying and selling 7-10 cars a year. In CA 5 sales a year is the limit for private party. DMV didn't say anything, but finally it caught up to me, and I got a nice letter from them, informing me I should get a CA Dealer License, so I have had one almost coming up on 10 years. Now, of course no issues, unlimited hoopties . Aside from the space concerns, and my neighbors thinking I lower the property value, by owning cars, their gardeners and pool boys would be ashamed to be seen in.
