That's on Craig's list. On Kijiji, it's there by default. You're ignoring real buyers.

My thinking is that real buyers have less generic response if they're actually really interested and if they just want you to email them or phone a # they're looking for ways of phishing.
I can see if you're looking at a car on Kijiji that's listed by a dealer you'd maybe hit the "I'm interested" and leave a number but for something like an MGB I'd think folks would use the "message". Of course my Ex's will tell you I've been wrong before......

Since it looks like that is a default reply available to anyone, I'd say possibly/probably a real person who is probably not serious.
Follow all leads. I sold a car on Kijiji that started with that email.
