Wow, that top looks BADDDDDDD.
Was never a fan of the Europa, the chop top didn't help. +1 for exclusivity though.
Considering Lotus are typically on the "light as possible" side of things, he doesn't mention anything about reinforcing the frame after cutting the roof off. Seems like it would be a bit "flexy".
It looks better than I thought it would, given some of the comments.
The dash in particular is old school cool!

Considering that theres nothing there but fiberglass and that the europa is meerly a backbone chassis, I dont think it would be a huge impact, I am sure there is some though.
Actually I think it looks nice, needs a new top though. Probably could do something with fiberglass maybe.
I actually like that. The only problem I can see is if you're tall and you drive it, your head will stick out above the line of the windscreen and you'll look like a buffoon. If you're short enough to fit in a standard one though, go for it.
I'd put some rearward bracing on that roll bar though. Suspect it'd do nothing at all if you put it on its lid.
The "top" he made for it is awful though.
I was wondering what the "roll bar" tied in to. There's nothing under that but glass, down to the pavement.
I'm 6' and I fit. Barely. I have two Europas now. Well, one's Dr.Linda's.

Yeah, on further examination I think it's actually a towel rack bolted on to what's left of the B-pillars.
