Oh my berkeleying Gawd...
Too awesome. I just want to know who was the E36 M3head who put in the $200 bid. Barbarian.
My, that's nice. I think I'd like the bumpers to be chrome though. The chrome around the windows need some company.
What an amateur job

Speaking of no expense spared, what do you think this will actually sell for.

I somehow seem to remember seeing it on ebay within the past few months.

Yup, it's beautiful and pretty darn close to being "too nice" for use.

Except he never seems to do much with the engine. The last one I saw on eBay by this guy was great aesthetically, but had zero info about even basic maintenance on the 100k+ drivetrain.
I'd think that'd be an important thing to do, but apparently I'd be wrong.
Meh... plastic fender flares with exposed screws and weak headlamps and no turbo. Maybe if it was 1/2 or 1/3 the price it would be worth it $15 and reserve not met is too much!
I like how the drivetrain was left essentially stock - it seems like most '02s built to that level are set up with high strung engines, this one would be a lot more relaxing to drive.
To me that is a very nicely painted and appointed square tail light car with tack on fender flares from IE, basic suspension upgrades and a mostly stock M10.
It is pretty - but $10k tops. When we get to $16k I expect to see round tail lights, a 5 speed swap and some JRZs.
Nicely done - it seems that most of the work relates to time, not necessarily expensive parts. I would have skipped embroidering 2002 into the headrests. Good on him if you can take a $5,000 car, add in another $5,000 and come out with a 20k car.
I'm pretty sure he has a lot more than $5000 into this car. The wheels alone are ~$3k. Still, even the current bid ($17k - reserve not met) seems high for a non tii with no audio system at all. For that sort of money I'd expect/want more than a M10 with a 4spd.
Oh... The flares are supposed to look the way they do. There are some other things to be criticized, but the flares are correct for the car. Trying to smooth them into the body just wouldn't look right.
Really nice but seems over-priced for what is a mostly stock, yet non-original and non-tii car with some bling-bling on it. Would be a great base for a cool project but not at 17K reserve not met.
Interesting - thought I'd seen this car before. Funny the first round got some smack talk for using RS replica wheels - this one shows up making a fuss over the RS wheels.
