So, our Lincoln project team members were looking at the season schedules for both ChumpCar World Series and the LeMons series, and it looks like our next event after the 24 Hours of LeMons in January will be the ChumCar event in Montgomery, Alabama. (We wanted to be at the ChumpCar event at Roebling Road in Georgia, but it lands on the same weekend as the Rolex.)

This one is a little different, as it's an all-oval event. It's also only 8 hours long, and you only need two drivers to compete. From a logistical standpoint, that's a plus; fewer people out of the office (and for less time).

It also gives us a chance to play with some unique setup options, like flipping our camber plates to make lots of left hand turns, etc...

Who else is going to this one? We need a Cal Naughton to our Ricky Bobby.

All right. While we're still under a caution, I want you to go back out on that track and hit the pace car.

Hit the pace car?

Hit the pace car.

What for?

Because you've hit every other goddamned thing out there, I want you to be perfect.

ChumpCar is offering a lot of great racing. I see in 2011 they're doing road courses, rovals and oval short tracks. I imagine that Montgomery will be a great race and so will North Wilkesboro. And they're running at Rockingham and Charlotte! How cool!
