That's because they are an explosive device. You need to tell.
Ya, i guess i need to list it as a hazardous package, dont know how big of an impact thats gonna have on the price...
It used to add about $6.00 to the freight, but that was ten years ago. I wouldn't think they would be much worse than shipping model rocket engines. There was some paperwork to fill out and the appropriate ID stickers to put on the outside of the box, but that was about it. The again, I haven't shipped any explosives since 9/11 happened and a bunch of rules have changed. Give UPS or Fedex a call.
I as surprised at the punch they pack. When I set the damaged one from my Ti off.. I laid the whole wheel on the ground face down and hooked it up. The entire steering wheel shot 30 feet straight up

Haha, I've done this too! They have a crazy amount of power don't they? Haha
I don't know about Georgia, but in New York it's illegal to even mess with them. Imagine sitting there with a screwdriver in your hand installing it when she blows.
Call the USPS, UPS or Fed-Ex anonomously, see what they say.

I would like to try it!
Mike Rowe, Dirty jobs. He worked at a junkyard, they celebrated the end of every work day by blowing a 50 gal. can up in the air.
There are lots on ebay with shipping under $20. These are from places that specialize in breaking cars and selling the parts so you would think that it is easy and cheap to do.
I suspect they can't go by air. Ground may be OK. But I also suspect you have to ID the contents.
After all, can't you ship ammo and gun powder (when you can find it)?

So in the interest of science and higher learning the boss and I set off an e36 airbag just now, 'twas highly gratifying and giggle inducing.
Probably yes, we just committed the deed. My boss suggested I construct a dynamite plunger to ad a little pomp to the next airbag event.

You have a cool boss!
Hopefully that mail truck driver appreciates explosive tom-foolery, too.
