I remember about a month ago (Edit: was actually 2 months ago) we had a discussion about shock boots, and the consensus was that they were useless and if anything, they might even trap dirt. Even I said that they didn't make much of a difference from my early experience driving with some.

A while after this discussion, I went to look under the ones on my Corolla. It sees more driving on gravel roads than your average DD, had been doing even more gravel road driving around the time these pics were taken, and had just come up a gravel driveway into the shop where I took these pics, so the coilovers were extra dirty. I'd actually brushed the heavy dirt off before taking these pics:
I wonder how much dirt got underneath? Probably a big mess trapped under there right?
Nope! Sparkly clean, no dirt fell out
