I've seen some pop up on this site as well. Some of better quality too. http://www.wheelsareeverything.com/search/label/My%20Photoshop%20Fun
I've never understood that look. Lowered a little is one thing, when they're sitting on the ground they look broken.

Broken is what these whippersnappers like seeing. I mean, you have the broken springs look, the broken flip-up headlights look (they call this "sleepy eye" but it is more like "broken '83 Firebird") and every time I see a car with a deliberately rusted hood, I want to put some coins in a can and stick the can in front of the car with a sign that says "CAN'T AFFORD PAINT - PLZ HELP"
As an old Poncho guy who is the son of an old Poncho guy, those two '65s make my tingly bits tingle. My dad had a gold '65 Catalina wagon just like that (minus the drop but plus a black vinyl top) and I have always wanted a '65 2+2 convertible. I would rock those two until my rocker fell off.

That's because 12) you don't have any imagintion, and 2) you were brought up on cars other than classic customs and hot rods. Even car designers design cars low and then the production version ends up on stilts.
it's been this way since GIs came home from WWII.

That's pretty presumptuous, isn't it? I have a good imagination, and I've been fooling around with old cars longer than you. There's a big difference between a custom like the Hirohata Mercury, and a photoshop of an otherwise stock car sitting flat on the ground.
