I had my first opportunity to hop on some scales with my race car.

My cross weight percentage is 48.2%(of 3074lbs).

Lf 962 RF 842 LR 641 RR 629.

Basically a caged 02 wrx. Stripped interior, no passenger seat. Stock size battery is just behind the left front headlight.

I don't have coilovers. If I understand this right, I need to move 54lbs from either my LF or RR to my RF or LR. Bonus points if I move weight from the front to the rear.

My thoughts, a lighter battery in the stock location would improve it in theory. Or moving it to the LR trunk area. Can tire pressure cause a significant change?

58.7% front 41.3% rear. My next question. The primary function of this car is hillclimber. Given the the car spends much of it's time in an incline. Is a 50% front to back weight distribution still the goal?

I'd say lighter battery. The added cable to get it to the trunk adds weight, in possibly the wrong locations.

a light weight battery will take lbs off the left front plus it will also improve the F/R distribution a bit.

Were you in the car when it was weighted?

Yes, with my helmet on. I'm ok with losing weight, so long as I can still eat wings and drink beer. I weigh 179 according to the same scales.

without me. Crossweight is 48.3%

car had abour 3/4 tank of gas. That should be about 9 gallons. That translates to 55lbs over the rear wheels.
