It's not perfect, but at that price it doesn't need to be. Doesn't look to have been a cruiser either. No holes for mounting lights or antenna. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow.

Or possibly a detectives car. The mileage seem pretty low to be a cruiser as well. 109K is only 10K miles a year.

That wouldn't be surprising to me at all. I very rarely see cruisers with more than the plain steelies (although a couple departments do run hubcaps on their cruisers), but the other cars often get hubcaps.
Definitely was badged up as something. The molding is cut on the door.
Looks bad ass! What are the plans with it?
I brought it home today. This might just be my best bought vehicle. Including buyers premium and sales tax, I paid just over $1500 for the car.
It's a 2006 with 109520 miles on it. Has ice cold A/C and more bells and whistles than I like. It is surprisingly quick, the suspension is tight, it handles very well for a boat and the ride is decent.
It did start misfiring on the way home. It was acting like coils, so I pulled the codes and swapped the coils on the two misfiring cylinders, with two off the wrecked Mustang. Misfire solved. I put plugs in it later this weekend.
The drivers seat sucks pretty bad. I'm pretty sure the back is specifically padded for someone wearing a bullet proof vest. It's going to need some work. I might try to find a set of seats out of a civilian CV or a Grand Marquis. I'll also do some checking to see if the Mustang seats are feasible.
I'll have to source replacement molding for the front doors. It was cut for the town police logo.
According to the notes on the back of the title, this car was with the CSI department. That explains the low miles and the overall condition. It's in very good condition.
Over all, I'm happy.
Pictures after a quick blast off with the pressure washer.
It does have a spot on the hood that's losing paint. I'll have to sand the hood and shoot a coat of white on it.
The only unfortunate part is, after doing some reading, the wheels and tires off the Mustang won't fit. The offset is wrong and they will stick outside the wheels wells. Apparently the suspension and wheel offsets changed in 04. I'll pull one to check, but that appears to be the case.
The Peter Gunn theme song.
I just got back from putting some miles on it. For a cheap Ford, it's not a bad place to spend some time.
I had thought about letting my 16yo son drive it, but I'm pretty sure that would be a bad idea. From 30mph to 80mph it pulls like a freight train and at 80 is shows no sign of easing off.
Even my wife is making noises about stealing it when she needs the seating capacity.
It should be a hoot at a autocross.

That is tastless, disgusting and offensive... I like it.
Also you're even more perverted than I suspected. I like that too.

I vote for this as the theme song.
Great. Now I'm looking at Crown Vics on craigslist. Wonderful.
Edit: Aaaaaaaaaaand I found a P71 with nitrous, a 4.10 gear and an exhaust.

I changed the oil this morning. Since April of 2014, this car has only logged 5000 miles. That's a lot a sitting. I'm surprised it started as easily as it did.
And the Mustang wheels definitely won't work.
The rest of the morning was spent cleaning. It had mildew and grunge growing in every door jamb, crack and crevasse. It apparently spent some of those two years sitting under a tree. It was pretty gross.

It looks like our friend Toyman...

YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Mustang wheels WILL work! You just need flares haha
That said, double check me though, but I believe later mustang wheels will work, ie s197's. So maybe you could sell the bullets and buy some 05-2009 gt wheels?
Oh final edit: wheres the trac lock test photo???

There is a set of these on the way. 05-09 Mustang. 17 X 8. Now I just need to find a set of 235/55R17s to wrap them in.
You'll need to log in to post.
