Make offer on the windshield. Black on black very little rust clean interior. what do you think it's worth? No idea of engine condition, so let's assume it runs ok.

What is this, Cosworth Vega week? Yesterday there were two of them in the $2012 section, one that looked pretty good for $1500 in Chicago and one that needed work for $1750 in Florida.
Can you get resto Vega stuff somewhere? Based on exactly zero actual knowledge, I would expect that a good interior would count for a lot unless you planned on stripping everything out.
Maybe start at $1000 and then listen to it run, crawl over it, etc.?
There' cropping up. I see a nice white and gold one for sale alongside Route 1/13 down around Milford, DE.
Runners that need cosmetics probably $1-2k, nice ones $4-$6k. Non runners need to be dirt cheap. Be aware the FI system is absolutely loaded with unobtanium parts, for instance coolant temp sensors are BIG $$$ used and absolutely NLA new, there's nothing that can be substituted. If you look at the 'BMAP' sensor (so called), your head will
So if it has FI problems, adjust the price downward to account for switching it to Mega Squirt.
They are kinda fun if a bit underpowered, doing the cam timing 'spread' thing (retard the intake 8 degrees, advance the exhaust the same amount) will wake it up considerably!
Back in early 1993 the Dairyland Datsun Roadster Club got into a fight with the Chevrolet Cosworth Vega Club over who officially had a specific piece of grass next to the track at the July Vintage Races at Road America.
Apprarently our leader (Roadster runoffs guy Bill Wessel) did not get an official spot from the Road America officials and we all had to move our Datsuns down a bit.
I'm still pissed at those Cosworth guys.......

I have a friend with a clean Vega body/chassis. I've been trying to talk him into building it up, but he has several Mustangs scattered about, and is more of a Ford guy. So the Vega is probably available cheap if anyone is interested.
If the FI isn't working right, I'd be thinking about some side draft carbs, otherwise they are neat cars. Body and interior parts are hard to find in good shape as most of these cars rusted away 30 years ago.
There was a guy running a Cosworth Vega in SCCA Showroom stock in the Northeast back in the day. He had an Oil Pressure Gauge behind the stock clock face and at 15 past six he had good pressure! He would also rev it so high that the stock exhaust collector studs would break and with the exhaust loose he would pick up a lot of horsepower!
When I AXed back in the 70's there was a couple who ran a Cosworth Vega in a prepared class. They had converted it to dual sidedraft Webers. It was OK fast but it what it did do was sound fantastic!

Make it a Kammback, add Minilites, and forget the stickers. There must be some suspension/brake goodies still out there, too.
In other words, a Cosworth-inspired restomod EcoTec Kammback.
110 hp and 107 lb-ft of torque? Drop in a Miata engine and five speed. Trade a few pounds for the extra power and reliability.
I'll just leave this here...

sweet! That thing looks like a hoot! However, that car is way to race for me. Totally awesome though.

Just out of curiosity, where was that. That sounds exactly like a couple I know in AL.
