The 20" rimz on my Impala are nothing but trouble. They are from a company called PowerX Racing. The car is currently sitting in mud because that's where I quit fighting with it. I had one corner that constantly lost air so I had it repaired (that is to say, I had a tire shop compensate for the bent wheel with bead sealer). Then I had another one constantly lose air and had it "repaired" as well but it constantly goes flat every 5 days.

Now both of them won't hold air for more than 24 hours. I got them free and I've probably spent as much getting them to hold air as I would have on a nice set of 18"s

Don't get me wrong... the 20's look great on the big boat, but I never liked the whole huge wheel-tiny sidewall trend. I learned that whole thing with my E30. I bought it with 17s and replaced them with 15" Momos and instantly noticed better performance and quieter, softer ride.

People stuff the biggest they can without any care for performance, ride, reliability, or handling. AND they tend to do it for the cheapest they possibly can.

Like me... My 20's were free. And look at the mess I'm in.

I agree Curtis. My Ti runs 17s.. stock M3 sizes.. and while the ride is harsh (it is on Bilstien coilovers) the wheels still soak up enough of the smaller bumps I do not notice them. I know of a few Tis on 18s and 19s.. and one of the guys on 19s.. went back to 17s.

Low low low profile tyres might be great for turn in.. but if the tyres spend more time hopping over the rough pavement than gripping it, then they are not a performance mod.. but a visual one
