Franck Montagny was in the #2 Pug when it died. I kinda felt for the guy, watching him walk around the thing, hoping that there was something that he could do. Reminded me of that time in 98 or 99 when Toyota was leading until a tire deflated. Just like a scene in Steve McQueen's movie.
Not just white smoke, FIRE! That's how a race car should expire. No wussy little wisps of smoke like a Ferrari. I want flames. I want definite engine expiry.
The distance record really jumped out at me. That's impressive - and that was the "slow" team!
I would love to see more "real" cars out there, mixing it up with the exotics and the prototypes. How cool would it be to have Mazdaspeed3s and Camaros on the track? If Thunderhill is any indication, there would also be approximately 500 Spec Miatas running at the end of the race. Sure, traffic would become a problem, but traffic management is part of endurance racing, right?
Hmm, how would an Exige do in GT2? Would the light weight mean longer tire life and fewer pit stops? I'm guessing the speed down the straights might be a problem compared to a heavier, more powerful car.
Oh - and yes, my wife has a younger sister with bigger boobs. But trust me, I got the good one.

Sounds like there are some changes in store for LeMans next year. The biggest issue is the speed difference issue. The smaller bore cars just don't always have the straightline speed they need to not be killed by the larger, faster cars. I just can't imagine it would be an enjoyable experience for the drivers. Also, considering how SOME LMP drivers act towards "lower" classed cars I think it could be very dangerous indeed!

Please tell me that she has an inordinate fondness of old datsuns. If she likes rat rods, too, I'll probably propose.
She's actually into big giant Jeeps. And married - at least for now. You don't want that particular bit of trouble, trust me.
One thing I noticed in the results was that there were 27 finishers this year. Spread over a 8.5 mile course! That's not a lot of traffic. There's a fair speed differential at the 25 hours of Thunderhill, what do they do differently? Thunderhill admittedly doesn't have massive straights like Le Mans does.

From what I've heard, nobody drives like Anthony Davidson...
