That is actually a factory color and it is VERY rare, probably less than 100 of those.

I've been watching this car for two months and slowly he's come own on price. Didn't know it was a stock color.... That makes the deal even sweeter. A rare e36 m3 4door manual for 4500, already have one but this really makes me want to look at it.

The color is Byzanz Metallic and it's not at all common because it was special order and is hideous. It was only available for 2 years = 97-98 IIRC. There are more than a few in the PHL area further illustrating the area's lack of good taste :)

I like the color, but the interior is pure ick.

"Seats are worn"...? "Interior completely broke-ass" is more like it.

The compression numbers look good but with well over 200k on the clock in that condition, for $4500 he is smoking some Byzanz Metallic for sure.
