guy with awesome honda said: This is a collector car that I acquired from the mechanic who took care of it for the original owner. She had received it as a present on her fiftieth birthday. It has less than 42,000 miles. It may be difficult to believe from looking at the photos but this is NOT a meticulously restored Honda. It is ALL ORIGINAL with only a bit of wear on the drivers seat. The back seat was never used. You might decide to be the first person to sit back there, or you might just look as I have done. There is no body rust or cosmetic defects. Just look at the photos (click for larger view). It has a 2 speed Hondamatic, making it even more rare. It has the original functioning AM radio, owner’s manual, et cetera. I have owned it for 4 years and have taken it to several car shows where it always elicits many nostalgic comments and stories. It runs like a Honda should and has always been garaged. After beginning with motorcycles 50 years ago, this first generation Civic could be said to have launched Honda’s successful automobile business. This extremely rare original example should be purchased by someone who wants to continue to treasure a bit of automotive history. It paved the way for the significant contribution that Honda has made to our car culture. Please email me with your questions or to make an appointment to come and see it in person. Remember to bring your checkbook if you want to sit in the back seat. The price is $9,000, or best offer.

It needs to be just slightly rattier and a 3rd of the price to do unspeakably evil things to it.

Cool. A true survivor. Can't be many like that........might be worth the price.

A real time capsule there, but it wasn't $9k when it was new.

I could see $9K for an N360, or a Z360. But that's just another old Civic, to me. It's probably rubbish to drive, too .
