If you watched the gran turismo movie, you'll be happy to hear the main character Jann Mardenborough is back in a race car after a long time away, and if I read the qualifying results correct he was fastest in his car of regular drivers by almost half a second!
Got caught up this evening.
The race was Alessandro Pier Guidi's in the Ferrari until disaster struck 50 minutes before the end. A Lambo broke down at pit entry blocking him.
The lead was inherited by the Aston Martin with the Dane Train of Marco Sorenson and Nicki Thiim, plus Mattia Drudi.
It's the first win for Aston at the Spa 24 since 1948. I'm sure like their single Le Mans win (1959), they'll be going on about this for decades to come.
