But you still have a limp chassis'd 'vert. Out of the box, the 03-04 Cobra's are not bad handling cars. They can be better by a whole lot, but you are still starting with a 'vert.

Knowing that, I'd rather have the HP because booooooost is addictive.

XK8. The XJS is a nice car but the XK8 will be more reliable.

Not seeing the logic in adding power to a chassis that you feel is "limp". $850 for the Street Grip Box for the IRS. What, $250 for subframe connectors + someone installing them for you. $175 for a strut tower brace under the hood. Still plenty of money left for things like their solid steering shaft, adjustable tie rod ends for reduced bumpsteer, etc etc.

I'd get the platform more solid before adding power, especially in an IRS car that's known for wheelhop from the factory.

I'd go sit in a C5 Vette. They seem to swallow tall guys with ease.

I already have two Mustangs. Three seems a tad much.

Huh? Does not compute, does not compute. When is having three of any good sports car too much??

C5 is a great idea. Never had a vert, but had a few coupes. Sweet cars.

It's a berkeleying CONVERTIBLE. Short of a complete roll cage, it will always be a "limp wristed" chassis.

And clearly, you have never driven an 03-04 Cobra.

If mustangs, SN 197 over an SN 95. The SN 197 'vert was designed stiffer than an SN 95 coupe. Plus it takes less work to sweeten up the 3 link than the 4 link.(edited for accuracy, thank you pres589)

I forgot that C5s have gotten that low. Nice.

There is no SN 195, it's S197 for the series after the SN95. There was no SN99, and the SN95 came to market in 1994 so the '95' isn't based on year.

How about something off the beaten track?

Or stretch a little into one of these?

Agree. The SN95 requires a truckload of parts to make it handle.

Im curious about 968s as well.

I second the e46 and C5 ideas. Those would be tops for me in this situation.

Mercedes SLK 230 Kompressor, kinda cool if you can find one with a manual transmission.
