I am always reminded of an accounting prof's observation -people are always willing to show the debit side of their balance sheet, but not the credit side.

I'm going to go with it's cool that the guy is picking the kid up, cooler that he is picking the kid up in that. My kid gets giddy when I pick him up in a POS Cadillac. He would loose it if I picked him up in a super car. I know a guy that has a "normal" Bugatti Veyron (if there is such a thing) he is constantly asked for pics and always seems gracious but i bet there are pictures where he looks unhappy, even if he isn't. I'm gonna give this guy the benefit of the doubt and go with sweet car, thanks for buying it and showing the rest of it how cool of stuff can be made.

Jeez, I guess I should have blurred the dudes face. He was friendly and did not at all seem in a bad mood. I made a comment about it being your average kid-hauler; he replied with "Just a grocery getter".

Also, this is a daycare/preschool/kindergarten. It is private, and the nicest one around us. It is expensive, but not that much more than the others around... And it was available. We were on the waiting list for over 2 years before we got in, I believe that we're still on the waiting list at 2 other daycares. It also happens to be less than a mile away from our house and maybe 300 yards from my in-laws. Seeing as the last daycare we were at was in a strip mall with an asphalt playground and took 20 minutes to get to, I'm happy to pay the small premium to go here with a grass playground while saving a lot of time and gas money.

I have to wonder how that is as a daily. Does it have decent cup holders? How are the AC and heat? Ergonomics? Visibility?

I've never seen one to even have an idea of how big they are. That picture makes it look a lot smaller than I thought it would be.

My youngest absolutely loves it when I pick her up in the MR2 Spyder. I can't do it much these days because she's now at the same school as my oldest so I have two kids to pick up 99% of the time.

If I had that much money to spend on a car, id have an infinite amount of unfinished modified econobox projects.

it's an open top. You also have a roll bar don't you? Ratchet strap the smaller one to it.

No, I don't have a roll bar; your idea might convince me to add one. Question is, do I put the misbehaving kid on top as punishment or the well behaved one on top as a treat??

I hadn't seen one either, and had the same thought. I assumed it would be huge, but it wasn't. It reminded me most of either a lowered RX8 or a C5 or C6 Corvette in terms of size. The thing that really stood out to me was how wide it was.

The only Bugatti I’ve seen in real life. Rolling north on highway 41 just south of Green Bay.

By all accounts, they're apparently rather comfortable and not particularly intimidating to drive.  Think of it as a Hyper-GT car rather than a Hyper-Sports car. The main shortcomings on your list are probably cup holders and rear window visibility. The biggest drawback to regular use of them seems to be that the care and feeding regimen is astronomical in both frequency and price, which doesn't come back to you on resale like the purchase price does.

Hasn't been made in 7 or 8 years and the earliest of them are almost old enough to vote...

Unless you're talking about the Fiero. In which case you're wrong.
