Similar to the first post, there was an on-ramp near our last house that was an increasing radius turn. Taken like a typical driver, it got very tight at the end, but with a wide entry and late apex you could really book. My wife was driving her Sky Redline one day to work and wasn't showing off, but she knew the line. Car behind her did not ... They were matching her speed but entered way too tight and probably panic-braked, and she just saw them loop in her rearview. She was quite proud, haha

It was eye-opening to hear that really is how normal people buy cars.
My in-laws decide on a Friday it was time to get a new car and on Saturday afternoon they have a new Oldsmobile. I was blown away.
Same people that when I bought a new 200SX were equally blown away: you bought a new car and you still have to shift the gears?

My aunt-in-law asked which generic crossover, A or B, was better. I said "well, how do you define 'good'? For me, I compare the things like weight, performance, price, space, maintenance, fuel economy, etc". She had zero answer. No idea what she even likes or doesn't like about her current car, so my advice was to go cheap then. Pretty sure she still ignored me.

My wife was stopped for speeding in her tsx wagon. When she saw the lights behind her she pulled into a church parking lot. When cop asked her where she was going so fast she said "here. I teach a bible study". That was true. He wrote her up.
This one goes back a lot of years, but my wife was driving on I-75 in the Cincinnati area when a wheel+tire from a pickup traveling the opposite direction left that vehicle, came across the median, bounced over her Geo Metro, cleared the windshield, and landed on the trunk lid. She stopped the car safely, but ultimately it was totaled. Just freakin' destroyed in fact. Police officer who wrote the report told her many times how lucky she was that it didn't hit her windshield instead. Lucky indeed!
