1000x this. I spent hours, what a PITA. After this thread I'm shopping for pliers and clamp assortment to spring clamp all the things.

Yep. The first time you use these it will feel like a ray of light shining down on you. Especially the remote cable style when you're getting to a clamp buried in the engine bay.  It will literally make you want to replace all of your worm drive clamps because spring clamps are instantly so much easier to remove and reinstall.
