Reminds me of both sailboat racing and [very slow] m dirt bike racing.
I'm going to send this to some friends that did BAJA SAE and ask them if its their most recent competition
This is awesome, it's honestly pretty rare that I enjoy watching racing, but I could watch this for hours.
Rule #1. Make sure your Monkey is a fat guy for counterbalance and has huge thighs for pushing. =~ )
Americans are so risk-averse they won't autocross without helmet rules. There is zero chance they would race these without requiring roll cages, fire suits, and steel-toe shoes. That would suck the fun out of it and then they would complain that the racing sucks.

You must've missed the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2001 when death was a much bigger part of motorsports in the US and abroad in televised, high-stakes races.
In reply to Toyman01 + Sized and :
There was a reason Motor racing was one of the "blood sports". Done well the driver survived to race again. Make a mistake and maybe not.
I'll grant you safety equipment does save lives. But I started at age 14 with an old football helmet with the bar cut off. ( oh, and leather shoes) in a 48 Buick with more rusty edges and a seat belt. Oh, the roll bar was an old repurposed swing set.
haha! Thats fantastic! Of course, sponsored by Redbull. They seem to sponsor every "extreme" sport in existence, no matter how obscure.
This is awesome. Reminds me of those sidecar motorcycle races. But in dirt. And with no regard for personal safety.

Which rules do you consider to be excessive? What do you think would make motorsports less oppressive and better as it relates to safety standards?
Man, you guys can suck the fun out of a room. These "Motorsports" are taking place at a light jogging speed.
In reply to AaronT :
If I was king of the world, there would be no safety rules in amateur racing. There would be safety recommendations, but that's all. You want a cage, do it. You think you need a fire suit, wear one. If the other guy wants to wear shorts and flip-flops while racing his Tuk Tuk, it's no skin off my back. He's a grown-ass man and capable of making his own decisions.
But, that would require Tort Reform. This will never happen because the lawyers, the same lawyers who we elect to the legislature, make too much money suing everyone they possibly can.
And you guys go on and on and on about what great drivers Hamilton and Verstappen are....................pffft mere amateurs compared to these guys.
Change out the tuk tuks for Pinzgauers and you can watch Verstappen & co doing almost exactly the same race. With helmets and cheating so blatant it becomes hilarious.
Are there any more tuktuk race videos......that was fun :)
update ; Just got home and looked on youTube , there are tons of videos of tuktuk racing 1
